Consignment rates are based on the final sale value of each item. Proceeds are split based on the consignment payout scale.

Selling Price Payout Scale

Up to $199: You get 65% of the selling price

$200 & up: You get 80% of the selling price

The consignment period is 90 days. At the sole discretion of Gear Attic, an extension for unsold non-seasonal items (i.e. lifestyle clothing, climbing shoes, etc.) can be allowed.

The consignor must pick up unsold items at the end of the 90-day consignment period. The consignor will be contacted by email to be notified of unsold items. Unsold items not picked up after 14 days will become the property of Gear Attic and may be donated to a non-profit organization.

Consignors must request a payout in-store or via email. Payments can be cash or cheque depending on the amount. A government-issued photo ID is required for payout and/or using credit from your account.

Gear Attic will not notify consignors when consignment items have sold. It is the responsibility of the consignor to monitor their account via the consignor account login.

Gear Attic will set an initial sale price based on the original retail price condition, demand, and sales history. Items under $50 store value can be marked down after 60 days to encourage them to sell. For items over $50 store value, the consignor will be contacted to discuss potential markdown.

Gear Attic only accepts consignment items that are clean, functional, and contain all parts necessary for operation. For hygiene purposes, all clothing (including outerwear) and sleeping bags must be washed prior to consignment. Gear Attic reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee for any items put on consignment.

Gear Attic is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged consignment items.

The Consignor may, at any time, and for any reason whatsoever, take possession of and remove items with 24-hour advance notice to Gear Attic.
